Reported By: Chief Meteorologist joe Murgo

Updated:  Wednesday Night, September 8th

After a hot start to the work week, cooler air has now started to move into the region. A northwesterly flow of this cool air will allow for some clouds to mix in with our sunshine at times Thursday. In fact, it could turn mostly cloudy for a while, especially north of I-80 where there could even be a pop up shower in a few spots. It will be a much cooler day with highs in the upper 60s. Friday will still be cool with clouds and sunshine but as an area of high pressure slides south of the area, Saturday will be mostly sunny and even warmer with temperatures rebounding well into the 70s.This warm up will not last though as an approaching front will bring more clouds and the possibility for a couple of showers Sunday. Behind that front, Monday will actually be partly sunny and relatively warm. A more impressive push of cold air will then move in for the middle of next week.
