The program just kicked off its third week, and Rachel Garmon and Dan McKenna came to crunch the numbers.
After two weeks, the participants in the "Weigh to Go" Challenge have lost 559 pounds and logged 90,020 Activity Minutes.
Team CPAL is still going strong. When they started on this challenge, they weighed in at 860 pounds. After two weeks, they are down six pounds to 854 pounds, and they've logged 2,480 total activity minutes. That's enough to put them in 9th place on the leader boards for total activity minutes for week one.
While "Weigh to Go" is an activity-based challenge, some people are doing it to lose weight, and Dan and Rachel have some tips to get you started.
They say, you should start with paying attention to calories in versus calories out. Keep in mind that healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. If you're a numbers person, just know that 3,500 calories equals one pound of fat. They say you should also be accountable to someone or something so you stick to your fitness goals.
Tune in February 5th, for some more great tips for Week 3 of the "Weigh to Go" Challenge.
