How would you like to be strolling through the aisles of your local library, and just so happen to come across a title written by your child? It might be more realistic than you think!
Children's Librarian, Anita Ditz tells us all about the 29th-Annual Write and Illustrate Your Own Book Contest, at the Schlow Centre Region Library.
Centre County Children in Grades 1-6 are invited to participate. You can submit your entry any time between Monday, January 7 and Tuesday, March 12, 2013.
Winners will be selected in four categories: Grades 1 & 2, Grades 3 & 4, Grades 5 & 6 and Past Winners. Everyone will receive a certificate of participation. The winning entries will be made into a real book, and become part of the Schlow Centre Region Library's permanent collection!
Winners will be honored in a special ceremony at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2013 in the Community Room of the Library.
