John I. "JT" Thompson grew up in Bellefonte. At an early age he demonstrated an interest in music.  Some of his early influences were Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Santana, Doc Sevrinsen, Freddie Hubbard, Herb Alpert, and Carole King.

JT relocated to Louisiana in the late 1970's, and became immersed in the influences of great talents such as Dr. John, Professor Longhair, Freddie King, Jan Hammer, George Duke, and Delbert McClinton. 

In 2002 JT returned to his hometown of Bellefonte.

Event Details:

Friday Concerts on the Lemont Village Green run from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Village Green is between Dale Street and Mt. Nittany Road, off of Pike Street in Lemont.

Picnickers are always welcome. Concerts are free, but a basket is passed to help support the Granary renovation projects.
