Updated: Sunday Afternoon, September 5th
We'll have a mostly clear sky overnight and as the wind dies down, overnight lows will drop back into the 40s, with some of the coldest outlying valleys dropping down to near 40. Tomorrow is still looking good for Labor Day with more in the way of sunshine and highs getting well into the 70s to near 80 by the afternoon. And, the breeze will not be as strong, which will make it feel even warmer outside. Tuesday will be yet another reminder that summer has not left us yet. We'll see plenty of sunshine and it will turn out to be a very warm afternoon as temperatures surge into the 80s. Unlike our last warm spell, though, this one is not going to last too long. A cold front will cool us right back down on Wednesday. That front will be accompanied by a few showers, but not the widespread rainfall we could really use given how dry it has been lately. Behind that front, it will turn very pleasant for Thursday and Friday. Warmer air will try to move in next weekend and push us back towards 80, but that may be accompanied by a few showers. At this point, though, much of the weekend looks dry with no beneficial rain in the forecast anytime soon.
