Jerry Sandusky's Attorney Joe AmendolaJoseph L. Amendola, Jerry Sandusky's Lead Attorney
Amendola is one of the highest-profiled criminal defense attorneys in Centre County. Among his most prominent cases besides Sandusky was the case involving State College Schools Superintendent, Richard Mextorf, who was charged with DUI.

The Philadelphia native studied history at Penn State Abington (previously Ogontz School) and has a law degree from Georgetown University.

He began practicing law in 1978 and operates his legal practice in State College.
Amendola, who is divorced, resides in State College.

Rominger is a Carlisle based attorney who practices throughout Pennsylvania. He has handled many major civil and criminal cases, including death penalty defenses, large personal injury settlements as well as advises many small businesses and restaurants.

Rominger has argued cases in Commonwealth, state Superior and the state Supreme Court.
A graduate of the Dickinson School of Law, he received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania.

He has taught Continuing Legal Education courses to other lawyers on Trial Advocacy, and has helped teach DUI law to police officers.

Senior Judge John M. ClelandSenior Judge John M. Cleland
Cleland was appointed to the bench in 1984 and served as President Judge of McKean County until his appointment to the Superior Court in 2008. He retired from the Superior Court of Pennsylvania in 2010.

Cleland served as the former Chairman of the Interbranch Commission on Juvenile Justice, which investigated the juvenile justice corruption scandal in Luzerne County in 2009.

He also served as Chair of the Juvenile Judges Section of the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges and is a member of the Pennsylvania Juvenile Court Judges Commission.

Judge Cleland graduated from Denison University with a bachelor's degree in history in 1969 and the National Law Center of George Washington University in 1972.


Former Penn State Director of Athletics - Tim CurleyTim Curley

Tim Curley was named Director of Athletics for Penn State University in December 1993, but is currently on administrative leave from his position.

During the past three years, the NCAA reported Penn State student-athletes achieved a school record 90 percent graduation success rate, 11 points higher than the national Division A average.

Curley was a walk on football player at Penn State.  He first joined the athletic department as a graduate assistant and worked as a part-time football coach before being named full-time administrative assistant for the department. 

He then served as assistant athletic director, a position which he held for 12 years before being promoted to director.

He was responsible for overseeing athletic and recreational programs at Penn State Commonwealth Campuses.

Curley is a Penn State graduate with a degree in Heath, Physical Education and Recreation (1976) and a Master's degree in Secondary Counseling (1978).

In 2011, she was the Josel Advocacy Award recipient, which is presented by the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal defense lawyers .

In 2010, she was named Pittsburgh Criminal Defense Lawyer of the Year.

Roberto co-founded the Women's Bar Association of Western Pennsylvania.

She's a former president of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.

Roberto earned a B.A. from Duquesne University and is a graduate of the National Criminal Defense College.

Caroline Roberto received her law degree from the University of Memphis.

Farrell specializes criminal defense and civil litigation.

A former federal prosecutor with more than 25 years of legal experience.

Farrell served as assistant United States attorney in Pittsburgh.

He was awarded the Director's Award from the Executive Offices of United States Attorneys.

Farrell was an assistant federal public defender in the eastern district of New York.

He began his career as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge Gustave Diamond of the Western District of Pennsylvania.

A member of the board of directors of the Greater Pittsburgh ACLU, he received a J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1986.

Thomas Farrell received his B.A., cum laude, in Philosophy from Yale University in 1983.

Gary Schultz
Schultz was named business and finance/treasurer in 1995.

Schultz oversaw university departments such as, Human Resources, Physical Plant and University Police.

Schultz retired from the university in 2009.

In 2011, before Jerry Sandusky's indictment, he served as interim senior vice president for Business and Finance/Treasurer at Penn State. Schultz resigned from the post in November 2011.

Schultz was elected to chair the Penn State Investment Council in 2000.

A former member of the Penn State Hershey Medical Center Board of Directors.

Gary Schultz received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering with High Distinction in 1971.


Mike McQueary - Former Penn State football wide receivers and recruiting coordinatorMike McQueary
Former Penn State football wide receivers and recruiting coordinator.

McQueary left the football program in 2011 after he was not retained by university athletics.

Spent eight years on the football staff coaching wide receivers and recruiting new players.

He spent the 2003 season as an administrative assistant with the football program and from 2000-02 was a graduate assistant coach.

McQueary, a State College native, played at Penn State from 1994 to 1997 and was the starting quarterback in 1997.

McQueary broke three Penn State records and was one of five finalists for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.
