A small area of high pressure was around today. Temperatures were below seasonal averages but the sun did manage to make an appearance. A few patchy clouds will be around for tonight with low temperatures dipping into the teens once again.
Tuesday will start partly to mostly sunny, but the next system will be passing us to the south by the evening. Clouds will increase for much of the region throughout the day with the potential for snow showers in the evening. There will be travel disruptions for the southern part of the viewing area late Tuesday and Wednesday.
The system that will bring the snow shower potential is fast-moving, and the sky will start clearing Thursday. Warmer air will begin moving in for the weekend, with temperatures reaching above seasonal averages by the weekend.
