HUNTINGDON, HUNTINGDON COUNTY - Local folks were out supporting local businesses Saturday afternoon.

It was the Huntingdon County Cash Mob. A group of about 20 to 30 people show up and surprise small locally own businesses and spend money in the store.

They say it's important for people to support the locally owned businesses. First the business owners are kind of shocked, and then they're really grateful.

This Huntingdon County group holds a cash mob about once a month. Today they visited the Huntingdon Gift Shop and the Station General Store.

Comments

This group has been mobbing local businesses since May of 2012. We have supported numerous business owners and have so many more to surprise this year. It's a wonderful group of people and continues to grow. Our business owners give much to our community in donations, etc. This is our way of giving back!
