The storm system that plagued the middle of the nation with heavy snow pushed a front our way today. This front brought a wintry mix of precipitation. while most of it was light, roads became icy in places. Most of the precipitation is done, but there will still be freezing drizzle and fog tonight which will keep the threat high for icy spots on some roads, especially as the sun goes down. Because of this a winter weather advisory remains in effect for the region. Remember to drive a little more defensively, take your time and leave plenty of space between you and the car in front of you. The good news is temperatures will slowly rise tonight and should get above freezing everywhere on Saturday. Clouds and drizzle will give way to some peeks of sunshine Saturday but there still can be a shower in locations. Temperatures will try to rebound to near 40 Saturday and then only drop into the upper 20s Saturday night. A storm system will develop along the New England coastline later Saturday and while we will not have direct effects, it may give us a bit of a brisk day on Sunday. Despite some breaks of sunshine temperatures may not leave the 30s in many locations. A bubble of high pressure will give us a nice start to the work week with some sunshine Monday with a milder afternoon. The next storm will bring rain or a wintry mix on Tuesday. Behind that system it will be chilly and unsettled through the end of next week with the chance for flurries or snow showers each day.
