Updated: February 22, 2013
The FDA has approved a new therapy for advanced breast cancer.  Kadcyla is for patients with late-stage HER2-positive  breast cancer.

The company that makes the drug  says it offers a new kind of targeted cancer medicine, that delivers chemotherapy directly to the cells. Studies show patients treated with Kadcyla lived about three months longer than those given other drugs on the market.
