Tow Companies Seeing Increased Workload

DUBOIS, CLEARFIELD COUNTY - Tow truck companies always have a plan for bad weather days, including Tuesday when snow moved through the region.

Workers at Mottman's in DuBois have all three of their tow trucks gassed up and ready.

While they say they hope for the best, the have to be prepared for the worst, whether they are responding to crash calls or disabled vehicles or to people who have dead batteries caused by the cold.

"You never know, last storm we didn't stop for 10 hours straight," said Cindy Rolls of Mottman's Towing.

In Clearfield today dispatchers say there has been around six crashes, but no major injuries.
