Learn About Medieval Falconry in Hollidaysburg

Jody Wallace from the Blair Conservation District joins Dawn in the studio with her falcon Stryker.
She is doing a program on medieval falconry at the Hollidaysburg Library on Jan.30th at 6:30 PM. On today's show, she shares information about falcons and talks about the history of falconry and its use for hunting.
The program on January 30th will feature a (pretend )falconry hunt. Kids will also learn how different raptors hunt different quarry in different environments .To make it even more fun, Jody will be doing this as a medieval audience participation play, complete with costumes.
This is a free event and open to the public.
