Route 22 Shut Down Briefly

CRESSON, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- Both lanes of route 22 were shut down for a brief time Wednesday morning due to slick roads and car crashes.

It happened near the Cresson Summit and Rt. 53 exit.  One person was taken to Altoona Regional Hospital.

PennDOT treated the roads once the accidents were cleared.

I was traveling on that road this morning at 7:15 and it was a sheet of ice!!!!!!! I almost lost control of my car. Took the first exit off and the highway. I'm glad the secondary roads were treated because that one was NOT!!!
