GREENCASTLE, FRANKLIN COUNTY - Norfolk Southern officially opened a new transportation hub in central Pennsylvania on Monday 21st January.
Work on the Crescent Corridor Intermodal Facility has been underway for a couple of years.
The new rail center in Greencastle, Franklin County will make it easier to shift cargo from trains to trucks.
The new $97 million facility was built with the help of $45 million in economic development funding from the state of Pennsylvania.
The public private partnership between the state and Norfolk Southern is expected to create at least 126 new jobs at the facility and help attract additional business and industry to South Central Pennsylvania.
