Paula Parker operates Operation Shoebox  out of her basement in State College. She and other volunteers take donated items, box them up and ship them off to servicemembers on the front lines.
Parker wanted to make sure Operation Shoebox continued after the founder, Dino Campanis died in March. He'd been doing it for 8 years.
Parker is hoping to get more people from the community involved and perhaps find a bigger space. But even if it's from her basement, she plans to continue this work no matter what.
