Thanksgiving Car Crashes 2012

13 People were killed and 349 injured in crashes across the state during the five day Thanksgiving holiday period.

 

Pennsylvania state police say the figures came from over 1,124 reported crashes between November 21st to November 25th.

 

Police say that 86 of the crashes were alcohol related including two fatalities.

 

During last year's Thanksgiving holiday travel period, 10 people died and 326 others were injured in 1,007 crashes investigated by troopers.

 

The numbers reported relate to those involving state police and do not include those reported by local officers.
