Two new programs have been launched by state transportation officials, aimed at helping emergency responders on the scene of accidents.

The first is called Yellow Dot.  Participants fill out information like emergency contact, medical history, and attach a picture.  The completed package is then stored in the vehicle's glove compartment, with a yellow sticker placed on the rear windshield, identifying the information for emergency responders is available inside.

Meanwhile, an online program for emergency contact information is also in place.

Pennsylvania drivers are encouraged to submit information for two people authorities should contact in the event of an emergency.  All you need to enroll is your driver's license, date of birth, and a social security number.

Visit the Penndot Yellowdot Program for more details.
