WTAJ News Reporter

Mallory joined the WTAJ News Team as a State College Bureau Reporter.

Mallory was born and raised in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina but she is excited to make the Allegheny Mountains her new home. She graduated from Elon University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. While at Elon, Mallory was a member of the University's award-winning student newscast, Phoenix14News. She was a co-anchor and general assignment reporter for the team and was fortunate enough to travel to Los Angeles, California with the Phoenix14News' executive team to accept the 2011 "Best Newscast" College Television Award from the Emmy Foundation.

During college, Mallory interned at WLOS-TV in Asheville and WECT-TV in Wilmington, North Carolina.

In addition to her studies, Mallory was on the Elon University Dance Team, where she was a four-year member and co-captain. When she's not at work, Mallory can be found shopping, on a jogging trail, spending time with friends and family and going on many new adventures.

Mallory is excited to start her broadcast career in the Happy Valley! If you have any story ideas, questions, comments or if you just want to say "hello," please feel free to email Mallory Lane at mlane@wtajtv.com.
