In the morning of Day 7 of the trial, Juror six, a young woman who works at The Apartment Store, had to be excused because she was too sick to come to work. Juror 13 took her spot in the Jury.
Juror 13 is a 30-year old 2007 Penn State graduate. She studied human development with a minor in psychology and Jerry Sandusky spoke at her graduation.
Dr. Johnathan Dranov, a McQueary family friend, said that he did get a call from John McQueary in February of 2001 saying he should go over to the McQueary home because of something serious Mike had seen. Dr. Dranov said the call came in around 9:30 one night.
Mike and John McQueary, Dr. Dranov and Mike McQueary's mother were together. Dr. Dranov said that Mike was visibly concerned. He said he went to his football locker to get some shoes and saw Jerry in a shower with Accuser #2. Dranov said that McQueary saw the boy and then Sandusky's arm reach around the boy and pull him back into the shower. Dranov said that McQueary heard sexual slapping sounds.
"I thought it was clear in Mike's mind that he should report it," said Dranov. He said he went to Joe Paterno to do so.
Dranov said no one immediately called police and that McQueary was shocked. "His voice was trembling, his hands were shaking," said Dranov. "He was visibly shaken."
Dranov said that he asked McQueary what he saw several times and that McQueary said he heard sounds like there was sex.
