Members of the jury have been allowed to go home each day after the end of the court session. But that will change as soon as closing arguments and final jury instructions are heard.
As long as the deliberations are under way, members of the jury will be staying in a local hotel and kept under the supervision of the court. An effort will be made to make sure that the members of the jury are not exposed to any out side influences. Members of the jury will have limited contact with anyone but court personnel and not be allowed to use telephones or cell phones. They will also be cut off from television, radio, printed materials and social media as long as jury deliberations continue.
Judge Cleland has told members of the jury they will have some advance notice so they will be able to pack the clothing and other items they will need to carry them through extended jury deliberations.
