Bedford Bracing For Snow

"Once word gets out that there's a storm coming they start flocking in," Trevor Johnson of True Value says.
Whether it's salt, shovels or groceries, they're taking no chances with a storm that could drop around a foot of snow.
"It's kind of like a zoo at the market. People running for bread, milk and bananas...the regular deal," Terry Moxler of Bedford says.
As for county leaders, they are doing their best to stay in front of the snow.
Roads have already been pretreated and now it's just a matter of wait and see.
"We try to make sure everyone is in the loop and that they're getting notices in a timely manner and quite frankly this isn't taking us by surprise," Bedford County Emergency Manager Dave Cubbison says.
Cubbison says an early march storm is nothing new in Bedford.
"It's kind of a funny joke around the office and at home that we're going to get a big storm the second week of March so we prepare for it,"
And regardless of how much snow actually falls, most people in Bedford are ready for spring.
"Everyday people come in and say they're ready for spring and we are too," Johnson says.
"I'm ready for it to be over," Moxler says.
