Woman Falls Through Ice On Frozen Pond

TYRONE, BLAIR COUNTY - A woman is recovering after slipping through ice and falling into a pond at the Tyrone Reservoir Park. 

The woman was attempting to rescue one of her dogs that ran onto the frozen pond. 

While she was trying to reach for the dog, she fell through the ice.

A man who saw her fall quickly called for help, and within 9 minutes local fire companies arrived to help pull the woman out of the water. 

She was taken to a hospital but is expected to be fine. 

The dog also survived.
