ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - On Small Business Saturday everyone is encouraged to shop locally owned businesses.

It's the small business answer to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Locally owned business offer their own deals and sales to attract customers.

Green Home Goods in Altoona offered 10% off, along with a fresh coffee and hot chocolate bar, and Helsel's Hardware in Altoona offered sale prices on many of their items.

Local business owners say Small Business Saturday brings attention to the local economy, and how consumers can help it grow.
