ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - A group of friends and family held a charity yard sale in honor of woman who lost her battle with cancer.

Tables of gently used items were for sale this morning at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Juniata all to support Sherry Hammel's family.  Hammel passed away of colon cancer.

All of the proceeds from the yard sale and bake sale will benefit the Hammel family.

This Saturday a spaghetti dinner will be held for Hammel at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona.
