ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - Representative Rick Geist's Public Private Partnership bill is finally on the Governor's desk.

The bill was unanimously approved in the State Senate and passed the house with a 38 vote majority.
The bill would let Pennsylvania team up with the private sector on infrastructure projects. Geist believes the two groups can accomplish more together than the state can alone. He's been working on getting the bill passed for nearly a decade and is glad it has finally made it to a governor.

Pennsylvania has more structurally deficient bridges than any other state. It also has more than eight thousand miles of roadway in very poor condition according to the state transportation advisory committee.
