Thanksgiving Day: Giving Thanks

Today I want to start out by saying a special thanks to all the men and women I work with day in and day out. And there are so many others out there who don?t get this day off to stay home and feast on turkey dinners with their families ? maybe someone you know is a firefighter or a police officer patrolling our streets to keep us safe.
Let's remember the airline pilots who landed our planes safely and on time to bring loved ones from far away so that they could share a slice of pumpkin pie with us today. Or maybe you?ve volunteered your own time to serve a hearty Thanksgiving meal at a soup kitchen, or collected non-perishables to donate to a food bank, or delivered a home-cooked meal to a shut-in neighbor or stopped by with some tasty goodies to brighten the day for residents of a nursing home.
Well, today is certainly a day to be thankful for what we have ? and also for what we can do, not only today, but 365 days a year. We can make a difference. And thanks to all of you who join me every day to share no-fuss meals and tips to make our lives easier, and to help gather our families around the table as often as possible. That?s what today's holiday is really all about. And that should give us loads of reasons to say... OOH IT'S SO GOOD!
