Huntingdon Students Perform at Music in the Park

Music students from Huntingdon Area High School attended Music in the Parks on Saturday, June 2.

Seventy-five students, along with chaperones and directors, traveled to Kutztown University and Fleetwood High School and Middle Schools in the Allentown area to perform instrumental and choral selections.

After the competitions, the group enjoyed a fun-filled day at Dorney Park, followed by an awards ceremony at the Picnic Grove.

Belles and Beaus, Camarata, Jazz Ensemble and Concert Band all earned 1st Place and Superior ratings. Additionally, Belles and Beaus earned "Best Overall High School Choir" and Jazz Ensemble earned "Best Overall High School Jazz Ensemble." Alex Gibboney earned an "Outstanding Jazz Soloist" award.

The teachers are Jordan Canner and Nin Hiles.
