Standing Stone Elementary Fundraiser for Humane Society

Mrs. Frehn's 4th Grade class at Standing Stone Elementary, in the Huntingdon School District, organized a fundraiser for the Huntingdon County Humane Society in May.
Out of concern of the organization's potential closing, the students called their school-wide campaign "Give One, Save One."
They asked other kids to submit a poem and picture of their pet.
They also designed a flyer that was distributed to all of the classrooms, along with a donation sheet.
The students' efforts netted nearly $950 for the Humane Society.
