Students from Park Forest Middle School in the State College Area School District participated in a camp called SeaPerch this summer.
It's part of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) program.
The students designed and built underwater remote-operated vehicles (ROV's).
They then completed a variety of tasks in the community pool.
In this photo, they were preparing for a challenge where their ROV had to retrieve items from the deep end.
Their teacher was Ron Shealer.
