These pictures come from Park Forest Middle School in the State College Area School District.
8th grade STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) student Steven Krupa is making a final inspection of the parabolic solar heat ray mirror he designed and manufactured in class.
It was used to explore the story of Archimedes destroying a Roman fleet in 214 B.C.
Then, for accuracy, Jacob Pusateri researched and built a scale model of a Roman boat, utilizing historically-correct woods.
