Curve Win First Series of the Season

Mike Crotta set the tone on the mound and Jim Negrych came through with the game winning RBI, as the Altoona Curve slipped past the Senators Tuesday night in Harrisnurg. Crotta was terrific allowing just four hits and one earned run through 8 innings as he improved to (3-0) on the season. Negrych delivered the game winning hit in the fifth inning as he singled to center scoring Brian Friday.With the win, Altoona (10-20) ensures their first series win of the 2009 season.
