CRESSON, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- On March 21st, students from Mount Aloysius College will be collecting canned goods and dry goods to donate to the local food pantry.

The Mounties will be collecting the donated groceries on from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A flyer alerting residents to the drive went out on Thursday.

The circulated flyer asks residents to "Help Us Make a Difference for Families in Need." The Mount Aloysius students remind locals that last year 4.5 million Americans benefited from local food pantries. Grass roots efforts just like theirs form local safety nets, guarding children and families from hunger as they navigate hard times.

Students will be in Mt. Aloysius cars and clothing to identify themselves for safety reasons.  They will also be accepting any financial donations. For additional information contact the College at (814) 886-6407.
