The actual remnants of the storm system that plagued the middle of the nation over the past couple of days will slowly drift through our region over the next couple of days keeping our weather unsettled and chilly. Tonight will be breezy and chilly. There still can be some rain showers early tonight then there will be scattered flurries and snow showers later tonight. There may be a fresh covering of snow in a few spots by morning. As this storm moves over the region Thursday and Friday will be blustery and chilly with variable cloudiness along with scattered flurries and snow showers. There still could be some raindrops mixed in on Thursday with the mercury approaching 40 in spots then Friday will be a little colder on the back side of this system with highs only in the middle 30s. Saturday into Sunday will be even a little chillier. There still will be scattered flurries and snow showers Saturday then some more sunshine with only a slight chance for flurries on Sunday. Monday will be brisk and chilly with some sunshine before Tuesday turns a little milder with highs in the upper 30s. The next system will likely bring some snow showers on Wednesday.
