CLARION COUNTY - A second suspect has been arrested in the murder investigation of 19-year-old Devan Knapp.

According to Clarion County Court records, 32-year-old Joel Stark of Rimersburg has been charged with conspiracy and abuse of a corpse in the case.

Stark was allegedly present on January 12 when 29-year-old Shawn Carr injected Knapp with a fatal dose of heroin. Stark told police he noticed Knapp was not breathing normally and advised Knapp be taken to the hospital, but Carr did not want to because of warrants for his arrest.

According to court documents, Stark told police he saw Carr park Knapp's vehicle on a back road in Millcreek Township. He told police Carr situated her body in the driver's seat and put a syringe on her lap so it would appear she overdosed there.

Stark is in the Clarion County Jail.
