UPDATE: Fatal Pedestrian Accident

PATTON TOWNSHIP, CENTRE COUNTY - Police are searching for the driver who hit and killed 32-year-old Sherry Houtz Tuesday morning.

It happened while Houtz was walking along I-99 southbound just past the Woodycrest/Toftrees exit near State College between 3:45 and 4:00 a.m.

Traffic was detoured around the site while police investigated but the roadway fully reopened to traffic about 10:30 a.m..

The victim was last seen at the Sheetz on Benner Pike at 2:15 a.m.
