Police Search for Driver in Fatal Hit-and-Run

PATTON TOWNSHIP, CENTRE COUNTY - Police are searching for the driver who hit and killed a 32-year-old woman this morning.

It happened while the victim was walking along I-99 southbound just past the Woodycrest/Toftrees exit near State College between 2:30 and 4:30 a.m.

Traffic will be detoured around the site through State College onto Route 322 then to I-99 at Toftrees while police investigate.

The victim was last seen at the Sheetz on Benner Pike at 2:15 a.m.
 
Anyone with information is asked to call State Police at Rockview at (814) 355-7545.
