HARRISBURG, DAULPHIN COUNTY - The governor's plan to privatize beer and wine sales probably won't mean more booze at local convenience stores.

Sheetz sells beer and wine in more than 200 of its stores in five states.

But is only allowed to sell beer in 1 Pennsylvania store, which is in Altoona.

A spokeswoman for the convenience store chain called Corbett's efforts a bold move forward, but says they're not the right fit for Sheetz.

Sheetz has more than 200 stores in Pennsylvania.  Under the Corbett proposal, each convenience store could sell one six-pack at a time, and would have to pay an annual fee of $15,000.
