A disturbance will also bring scattered snow showers to the region through the early Morning hours on Wednesday that can leave a fresh covering of snow in some spots, especially across the higher elevations. Wednesday will start off with plenty of clouds and the chance for flurries or freezing drizzle then clouds will break for some sunshine as a ridge of high pressure builds over the region. With the clouds holding tough for a while, it's still going to be another seasonably chilly day with highs in the 30s. Any break will be a brief one as this high will slide to the east and any sunshine early Thursday will give way to clouds as the next disturbance comes our way. There could be some flurries or a wintry mix later Thursday and then the better chance for some snow, ice or rain Thursday night into early Friday as this system strengthens over the coastline. Right now it looks like the heaviest of the precipitation will pass well to our east, but this is something we will continue to keep an eye on. On the backside of the system, it will become windy Friday afternoon. There could still be some leftover clouds early Saturday but then a new area of high pressure will help to return some sunshine for the weekend. Temperatures will also be on the rebound reaching to near 40 each day over the weekend. The next front will bring rain back to the area on Monday and any change back to a colder pattern will likely have to wait until the middle of next week.
