Amish Buggy Hit by Drunk Driver

HOWARD, CENTRE COUNTY - An amish buggy was hit by a drunk driver Sunday night. 

Police say 48 year old Steven Day of Howard rear-ended the horse-drawn buggy on Route 445 around 9:00pm Sunday night and drove away. 

A witness to the accident was able to provide police with a registration plate, and police were able to find Day at his home, where he was arrested for DUI.

The three people in the buggy were not injured.
