A local musicians association celebrated a milestone anniversary today.

The Central Pennsylvania Musicians' Association in State College has been bringing music to the area for 100 years.
Memorabilia from the groups' history was on display at a luncheon this afternoon.
To celebrate the milestone the association is reaching out for new members.

"We invite musicians to join us in the effort and we invite employers to join us in creating better high quality music be being what we call sub stainable music venues. These are venues that provide a certain minimum wage musicians and agree to offer contracts. We think the better the music, the bigger the audience and the better for everybody, for musicians, employers, and for the community in general," President of the Central PA Musicians' Association Christopher Lee says.

The Central PA Musicians' Association sponsors a number of scholarships throughout the area.
