No More Babies at Area Hospital

A hospital in our region will close its obstetrics program. Windber Medical Center announced that it will stop delivering babies by the end of March.

The hospital says during the transition period, it'll will work closely with  expectant mothers and is in preliminary discussions with local providers to accommodate future births.

The OB department will be used to house surgical services.
