Updated: Wednesday Night, January, 2nd
Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo

A disturbance passing by to our north will bring a few more clouds back to the region on Thursday, especially during the afternoon. This disturbance will likely spark off some flurries, perhaps even a couple of snow showers later Thursday into early Friday. Otherwise, Friday will be cloudy to partly sunny and chilly with highs pretty close to the 30 degree mark. A large area of high pressure over the middle of the nation will dominate our weather this weekend into next week and eventually set the stage for a warming trend. Temperatures will reach into the lower to middle 30s on Saturday with a gusty breeze and partial sunshine. A weak disturbance will pass over the high on Sunday and bring us more clouds along with scattered flurries but then Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will each feature partial sunshine. Temperatures will reach the upper 30s Monday and Tuesday and then into the lower 40s on Wednesday. The end of next week also looks mild for this time of the year with the next front coming by the second weekend in January.
