BROCKWAY, JEFFERSON COUNTY - A controversial homeless shelter in Jefferson County hits a milestone.

Just for Jesus Ministries opened just outside of Brockway along Route 28 in 2000.

Ten years later the program made the media when convicted third degree murderer Ernie Simmons stayed at the shelter.

Since then, residents in Brockway have kept a close eye on the shelter - their main concern is convicted child molesters staying there.

This month the controversial shelter took in its one thousandth guest.
