Woman Stabbed in Centre County Park

FERGUSON TOWNSHIP, CENTRE COUNTY - Authorities in Ferguson Township are searching for a suspect in an afternoon stabbing.
Ferguson County Police Chief Diane Conrad says they received the call at 2:30pm Wednesday afternoon stating a woman had been attack while riding her bike.
Police say a jogger found her "some distance" from where she had her throat cut. The woman was conscious when she was found and taken to a nearby hospital. Ferguson Township Police don't think her injuries are life threatening. As of now there's no official word whether she was a student or grad student at Penn State. Police say they're searching for the suspect and say that he has been spotted since the attack.
The suspect is described as a white male with facial hair. Five feet, eight inches tall wearing black clothing and a backpack. The suspect is carrying a knife and is considered armed and dangerous.
Police also say that when getting away, the woman bit the mans hand. They're not sure of a motive and dont believe she knew the attacker. Police are investigating this as a random attack and are asking that anyone with information to call police. More updates will be posted as they become available.
