Johnstown Red Cross Volunteer Returns From Deployment

JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- Linda Myers returned the week of Thanksgiving from her deployment with the Red Cross to help the victims from hurricane Sandy.

"I have never been in a flood before," said Myers.  "Its amazing to see what water can do."

Myers has been deployed dozens of times over the years, but her trip to New Jersey was one of the worst disasters she has ever seen.  Myers took photos of the devastation to document her trip.

"In some cases there was nothing left but the foundation... it was heart breaking."

Myers said she isn't done her volunteer work yet, the next mission she is bringing her husband along.

"He doesn't know it yet- but I'm signing him up."

The Red Cross is always in need of volunteers to find out information on how to become one click on help.
