CLEARFIELD - Police said at around 4:45 am Wednesday, a woman tried coming home when her husband would not let her in.  Police said he threatened to shoot anyone that stepped on the porch.

When police arrived, they took the woman to safety and evacuated the trailer park located along Spruce Grove in Clearfield. As they did, they said, the man started shooting. Police said he fired 5 shots in the direction of four officers.  No one was injured.

Police said they were able to calm him down and take him, 43 year old Peter Cain of Clearfield, into custody.  Neighbors were allowed back in their home around at 7:00 am.
