Preparations Underway For Election Night

JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- Last minute preparations are underway for Election Day/Night.

"We are preparing for 300 people," said Melissa Radovonic, Crown American Hotels Sales and Marketing Director.  "Preparations are under for the party with food and drinks, we also have added security."

Tuesday night Congressman Mark Critz will be at the Holiday Inn in Johnstown.  This will be his fourth time spending election night at the hotel in four years.  The incumbent Democrat is running against Republican Keith Rothfus who will be spending election night at the Holiday Inn in Pittsburgh.

Crews were testing the audio and finishing up last minute red, white and blue decorations in the ballroom.  It holds up to 350 people; Radovonic expects a full house to be inside watching to the results.

"We do have extra rooms available," said Radovonic.

Cambria County Elections Officials were busy answering phone calls Monday, and making sure everything is up and ready to go.

"We are just reminding people to patient at the polls," said Shirley Crowl, Cambria County Director of Elections.  "Our poll workers will be dong their best to get everyone in and out as quickly as possible."

Since it's a presidential election voter turn out is expected to be around 65% in Cambria, there 165 voting precincts.
