UPDATE: PennDOT Releases Road Closure List

A number of roads throughout the region are closed by downed trees, downed utility poles and flooding being caused by Hurricane Sandy.

Blair County

Route 1011 (Turkey Valley Road) in Blair County is closed because of a downed tree. The road is closed form the intersection of Canoe Creek Road to the intersection of Mattern Road in Frankstown Township.

Route 4002 (Sugar Run Road) is closed because of a downed tree from the intersection of the Cambria County Line/Tunnel Hill Street to the intersection of Route 764 in Allegheny Township.

Route 4020 (Reightown Road) is closed because of a downed tree from the intersection of Hunter Road to the intersection of Tenth Street in Antis Township.

Route 4018 (Riggles Gap Road) is closed because of a downed tree from the intersection of Antis Road to the intersection of Old Sixth Avenue Road in Antis Township.

Route 4023 (Tipton Road) is closed due to a downed tree from the intersection of Maple Lane to the intersection of Grazierville Road in Antis Township.

Route 4025 (Grazierville Road) is closed due to a downed tree from the intersection of Tipton Road to the intersection of Rossman Road in Antis Township.

Route 2022 (Juniata Valley Road) is closed due to flooding from the intersection of William Penn Highway to the intersection of William Penn Highway in Frankstown Township.

Route 4017 (Wopsy Road/Juniata Gap Road) is closed due to a downed utility from the intersection of Good Shepard Road to the intersection of Castle Farms in Logan Township.

Bedford County

Route 3003 (Lake Gordon Road) is closed due to a downed utility from the intersection of Lake Gordon Road to the intersection of Bud Shuster Highway in Cumberland Valley Township.

Route 4027 (Shellsburg Road/Scrubgrass Road) is closed due to a downed utility from the intersection of Scrubgrass Road to the intersection of Beaver Dam Road in Kimmel Township.

Route 96 is closed due to a downed utility from the intersection of Chestnut Street/Grasshopper Street in New Paris Borough to the intersection of Bowser Road in West St Clair Township.

Cambria County

Route 756 is closed from the intersection of Oakland Avenue in Lorain Borough to the intersection of Wise Street in Geistown Borough.

Fulton County

Route 3011 (Pigeon Cove Road) is closed due to a downed utility from the intersection of Alpine Road in Bethel Township to the intersection of Great Cove Road in Belfast Township.

Huntingdon County

Route 2017 (Blacklog Valley Road) is closed due to flooding from the intersection of Peterson Road in Cromwell Township to the intersection of Sheets Drive in Cromwell Township.

Route 1017 (Martin Gap Road) is closed due to flooding from the intersection of Geisler Run Road in Miller Township to the intersection of Standing Stone Road in Miller Township.

Route 2010 (Allison Road) is closed due to flooding from the intersection of Shade Valley Road to the intersection of Fultzs Hollow Road in Tell Township.

Now Open

Route 4023 (Hundred Springs Road) in Huntingdon County is now open. The road was closed form the intersection of Dry Hollow Road to the intersection of Knarr Road in Warriors Mark Township. 

Route 3023 (Shore Valley Road) that was closed from a fallen tree at Zion Church Road in Clay Township.

Route 3014 (Williamsburg Mountain Road) that was closed at the Fire Tower Road in Porter Township.

Route 2017 (Blacklog Valley Road) which was closed because of a fallen tree from the intersection of Route 522 (Croghan Pike) in Cromwell Township to the intersection of Route 2017 Blacklog Valley Road in Shirley Township.

Somerset County

Route 4023 (Black Hills Road/Million Dollar Highway) is closed due to flooding from the intersection with Lincoln Highway to the intersection with Rose Road in Jenner Township.

Now Open

Route 985 from the intersection of Saylor School Road to the intersection of Ligonier Pike Road in Conemaugh Township.

Motorists are advised to find an alternate route and reminded to never drive through flooded roadways and never try to move a downed utility pole or fallen tree. If a driver encounters a downed utility pole or tree, please call 911.
