Governor Corbett Signed House Bill 135

The second phase of a state wide initiative called the justice reinvestment started Wednesday.

Governor Corbett signed house bill 135 which redirects funds from corrections to communities.

Right now, the state is trying to save money within the prison system, and plans to put that money back into local communities.

It will be earmarked for law enforcement, probation, parole and victims services.
