Area Hospital Gets State Award

An area hospital is one of only seven statewide to receive a new award for excellence.
The State Health Department gave HealthSouth Nittany Valley Rehabilitation Hospital one of Pennsylvania's first awards for "Excellence in Health Care Compliance."
State officials say HealthSouth Nittany Valley had no health citations during its last state survey and no major safety code deficiencies. The hospital was the only healthcare facility in our region to receive the recognition.
The State Health Department says the award identifies facilities that demonstrate excellence in meeting state regulations.
